Kent Amateur Championship Final

Mark Collins overcame a spirited performance from Robin Orchison to win 3 an 2 to secure his place in the Championship Final where he will face Charlie Strickling, who defeated U18 County player, Ben Quinney by 2 holes.

MarkCollins, Littlestone, is a former County Champion, winning the title in 2014 at Sundridge Park, he went on to win the National title later that year at Woodhall Spa.

Charlie Hickling, Wildernesse, learnt his golf in Cornwall, graduating at Royal Dornoch.

The weather is set fair, with a brisk westerly breeze.

Mark Collins played some sparkling golf to win his second County title and in spite of some spirited play from Charlie Hickling, who managed to get the game back to all square after eight holes, Marks combination of power and deadly putting proved too much.

Mark eventually won 5 and 4.

He now represents Kent in the National Final to be held at Woodhall Spa on the 17th September.
