Seniors win at Hever Castle
Tuesday 4th July Hever Castle Golf Club. A beautiful day and a lovely setting for a golf course - superb mature parkland. It was a joy to be there on this lovely summers day.Sussex Seniors, always a tough match (a draw last year) and this year looked no exception. Some early wins from Partridge, Florence, Wright and Jessup saw us needing 1 point from the last 3 matches on the course. However we were 1 down in 2 and 1 up in the other playing the 17th.
As it turned out, 2 half points ensued (Smale and Weighton) and the match was Kents by virtue of the half obtained from Chris Reynolds in the second match.
