Kent Golf Limited

Canterbury - Kent Golf Approved Junior Academy

COVID-19 Update

Following the Government announcement regarding the new National Lockdown effective 6th January 2021, we remain unable to hold any Kent Golf organised events and as such, all of our scheduled events are cancelled/postponed until further notice. This includes all adult and junior competitions as well as County Squad Sessions and Kent Golf Approved Junior Academy sessions.

At the current time all Kent Golf knock out competitions remain under review and will not open for entry on 18th January 2021 as previously advised. Once we are in a position to advise as to the status of the 2021 knock outs, we will update the website and notify all clubs and players via our social media channels.

England Golf's latest guidance -

We will continue to review the situation on a regular basis in accordance with updates from the Government together with guidance from our governing body, England Golf. It is imperative that we work to ensure the health and wellbeing of our members, players, staff and volunteers as well as all of those who work at our host golf clubs.

A few words from our Kent Golf Approved Coach Gareth Bailey...

"Canterbury Golf Club and I are honoured to host Kent Golf Academies, giving all juniors an opportunity to have fun and play golf.

I have over twenty years teaching experience, coaching at all levels from beginner to professional. I am particularly passionate at promoting golf from the grass roots level. I teach at multiple schools on a weekly basis in my local area. I run multiple junior group lessons weekly, all year round and all lessons are designed to give my pupils the opportunity to play on the golf course. Canterbury Golf Club has excellent practice facilities that also include a driving range as well as a beautiful designed golf course.

I run two Kent Golf Academies, the first academy is for younger less experienced juniors. These lessons are designed to teach the important skill sets to prepare my pupils for the golf course. The second academy is for more experienced juniors who have handicaps and want to maximize their potential.

My ethos for all my junior lessons are to have fun, be kind to one another and enjoy the wonderful game of golf."
