Race to St. George's Final (Junior Boys) Rules

QUALIFYING EVENTS

Each Qualifying event shall be:

(a) Other than the Kent Golf Junior Championship, 18 hole Stroke Play for Junior members of Kent Golf clubs and shall be played as one single competition;

(b) Final places in each event shall be decided on countback as appropriate;

(c) Each event shall be played in accordance with the Kent Golf General Competition Conditions.

There will be 4 regional events plus the Kent Golf Junior Championships – with points awarded leading a grand final at the end of the season.

For the regional events, points will be awarded as follows: 20 points for 1st, 15 points for 2nd and 10 points for 3rd, 7 points for 4th going down to 1 point for 10th place. Points will be awarded on a countback basis where scores are equal. Points will be awarded for both Scratch (gross) and Handicap (nett) places.
Handicap adjustments based on gender and tees will be in accordance with WWS of Handicapping system.

Eligibility

Competitors must be under 18 years of age on 1st January of the year of the competition and must be a member of a Club affiliated (and up to date with the payment of affiliation fees) to Kent Golf Limited and in possession of a current WHS Handicap Index. The Kent club must be the player’s HOME CLUB. Entries will be limited to the number permitted by the Host Club, and if necessary, longer handicaps will be subject to ballot.

Caddies

Caddies are allowed but must be under 18 on 1st January of the year of the event entered.

THE FINAL

The top 10 each category and, subject to the number participating in the regional events and Kent Golf Junior Championships.
Order of play will be drawn (with all categories mixed).

A player can only qualify in one category (precedence in the case of boys being given to the Scratch event).
Qualifying points total will be carried forward to the final round to be held at Royal St George’s on Thursday 28th October 2021.

Double points will be awarded in the Final.

Vouchers will be awarded at the Final for prize-winners in each category.
