South Kent Futures Championship Rules

These Rules apply to each of the Futures’ Championship Events 1. Eligibility Category A Futures must be under 10 years of age on 1st January 2022 and, if they do not hold a WHS Handicap Index, will be allocated a handicap on the day. Category B Futures must be under 13 years of age on 1st January 2022 and be in possession of a WHS Handicap Index. Category C Futures aged 13 or over but under 18 on 1st January 2022 and be in possession of a WHS Handicap Index 28.4 or more or not hold a WHS Handicap Index (in which case a handicap will be allocated on the day). Entrants in Category B must be members of a club affiliated to Kent Golf Limited. Category A or C Futures may be such members or participants in one of Kent Golf’s Approved Junior Academies. Entries will be limited to the number permitted by the host Club and, if necessary, may be restricted by ballot. 2. Caddies Category B and Category C Futures will not be allowed caddies or trolley pullers. Category A Futures will be allowed one caddie only. 3. The Competition The Kent Golf General Competition Conditions shall apply. The Competition will be Stableford Stroke Play played off tees specified by the Championship Committee over 18 holes for Category B and C Futures and such lesser number of holes for Category A Futures as may be decided by the Championship Committee (depending on the course layout). 4. Championship Results If there is a tie at any level, the Championships will be decided by count-back 5. Age Group Prizes Prizes will be awarded in each age group based on gross and nett scores. Prizes for nett scores will only be awarded to players who have provided proof of a WHS Handicap Index. If there is a tie the winner will be decided by count-back. No competitor may win more than one prize.
