Youths' Championship (Men & Boys) - Round 1 Rules

1. Eligibility
Competitors must be members of a Club affiliated (and up to date with the payment of affiliation fees) to Kent Golf Limited, under the age of 25 years on the day of the Championship and in possession of a WHS Handicap Index of 8.4 or less at the date of entry. Entrants 18 to 25 years of age will get automatic entry subject to handicap and numbers. Entrants under 18 years of age will be balloted on handicap and availability of places.
The Kent club must be the player’s HOME CLUB.

Total entries will be limited to 39, the number permitted by the Host Club and, if necessary, longer handicaps will be subject to ballot.

2. The Competition
Play will be over 36 holes of medal Strokeplay. The Kent Golf General Competition Conditions shall apply. Male golfers only to enter this competition and, for the purposes of the handicap cup, handicaps will be adjusted in accordance with WHS of handicapping.

3. Caddies.
Caddies are allowed, other than a qualified P.G.A. professional golfer.

4. The Youths’ Champion
Will be the player who returns the lowest gross score. In the event of a tie, the Championship will be decided by "sudden death" play off over holes 1, 2 and 18. The Champion will hold the Challenge Cup for one year. Mementoes will be awarded to the Champion and to 2nd and 3rd places. If necessary, the recipients of the 2nd and 3rd places will be decided by count-back.

County Vouchers will be awarded for the first three places.

5. The Handicap Cup
Will be held for one year by the player returning the lowest nett score. A Tie for this Cup will be decided on count-back. Mementoes will be presented to the first three players.
