Seniors' Handicap A & B Division Championship Rules

A" Championship 1. Eligibility The Championship is open to all Male Members, 55 years of age or over on the day of the Championship, with a WHS Handicap Index 6.5 to 16.4 on the closing date for entry at a Club affiliated (and up to date with the payment of affiliation fees) to Kent Golf Limited. If an entrant’s handicap changes between entry and the closing date of the championship, he will, if lower, be entitled to withdraw (if such change occurs before the Closing Date) or to play off his new handicap but will not be eligible to win a prize and, if higher, be transferred to the ‘B’ Division Championship taking place on the same day. The Kent club must be the player’s HOME CLUB.

2. Entries will be limited to the number permitted by the Host Club, if necessary, longer handicaps will be subject to ballot.

3. The Competition Play for the Championship will be over 18 Holes of medal stroke play. The Kent Golf General Competition Conditions shall apply. Caddies are allowed, with the exception of a professional golfer.

4. The Champion Will be the player who returns the lowest NETT score. In the event of a tie, the Championship will be decided by "sudden death" play off. The Champion will hold The Darkins Trophy for one year. If necessary, the 2nd and 3rd place will be decided by count-back. There will also be mementoes for the first three places. County Vouchers will be awarded to the Champion, the runner up and third placed player.
5. Over 70’s (Players over 70 years of age on date of Championship) An award will be made to the player returning the lowest gross score in this Championship. Decision by ‘count-back’ if necessary.

"B" Championship
Eligibility
The Championship is open to all Male Members, 55 years of age or over on the day of the Championship, with a WHS Handicap Index of 16.5 or over on the closing date for entry at a Club affiliated (and up to date with the payment of affiliation fees) to Kent Golf Limited. If an entrant’s handicap changes between entry and the closing date or between the closing date and the date of the event so as to be 16.4 or less, he will be offered a place in the ‘A’ Division Championship on the same day.

The Kent club must be the player’s HOME CLUB.

2. Entries will be limited to the number permitted by the Host Club, if necessary, longer handicaps will be subject to ballot.

3. The Competition
Play for the Championship will be over 18 Holes of Strokeplay.
The Kent Golf General Competition Conditions shall apply.
