Invicta 10's

Coronavirus – (Covid 19) Update

Following the Government announcement regarding the new National Lockdown effective 6thJanuary 2021, we remain unable to hold any Kent Golf organised events and as such, all of our scheduled events are cancelled/postponed until further notice. This includes all adult and junior competitions as well as County Squad Sessions and Kent Golf Approved Junior Academy sessions.

At the current time all Kent Golf knock out competitions remain under review and will not open for entry on 18th January 2021 as previously advised. Once we are in a position to advise as to the status of the 2021 knock outs, we will update the website and notify all clubs and players via our social media channels.

England Golf's latest guidance -

We will continue to review the situation on a regular basis in accordance with updates from the Government together with guidance from our governing body, England Golf. It is imperative that we work to ensure the health and wellbeing of our members, players, staff and volunteers as well as all of those who work at our host golf clubs.

Effective from the 16th July 2020 we are no longer accepting cash or cheques for competition entries – all payments must be made online.

Please contact the county office 01797 367725 or should a problem arise with online payment.

Kent Golf recently issued a note advising of the extension to our cancelled events period to the end of June. With all golf clubs closed, this of course meant that the first of the Invicta 10s events at Pedham Place Golf Club on 8th April could not take place.

In light of the uncertainty that surrounds social distancing and club house facilities once we do return to playing golf, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Invicta 10s Tour until 2021.  This has not been an easy decision, but the safety and well-being of the children is paramount as well as that of our staff and approved Kent Golf volunteers.

We will be looking to hold the five events as originally scheduled for this year around the same time and at the same venues next year and shall be discussing this with the golf clubs in due course once they are re-opened.

All children who have entered the Tour for 2020 will have an automatic place for the 2021 Tour irrespective of their age, i.e. if they turn 11, this will not be a problem at all and the Tour will be in the same format as that of this year.

We are naturally very disappointed that we have had to take this course of action and do hope that parents and juniors, whilst also saddened to receive this news, understand our position.

Kent Golf Union wish to thank you very much for supporting the Invicta 10s Tour and look forward to seeing you all next year.

We continue to monitor the situation in accordance with our governing body, England Golf as we must work to ensure the health and wellbeing of our members, players, staff and volunteers as well as all of those who work at our host golf clubs.
