Match report:

The first match of the season saw the team head to Sundridge Park to play Surrey.

Surrey came out strongly, taking the first 2 foursomes matches on the 15th and 16th. The third match was very tight, but went Surrey’s way on the 18th.... 3-0 at lunch.

The Kent team came out fighting and took an early lead in most of the matches in the afternoon. First point came from 13 year old rookie Bella, with a magnificent 8/6 win. 2 half points followed from Ali & Ellen. Surrey took the 4th match despite a good fight back from Philippa on the back nine. Annabel brought in another solid win, leaving another young rookie on the course. A solid play on the 18th gave Teagan the point.

Despite it being a loss (5-4), it was only a narrow one, and the team played their hearts out, giving us the best result we’ve had against Surrey for many years – well done team, especially our 3 rookies.
