Bob Whitty (Hever Castle) wins the Kent County Playing Fields Association 5 Club competition final at Littlestone Golf Club.

Cecil Leitch  5 Club Final at Littlestone Golf Club 17th June 2013

After an uncertain start weather wise, with a few showers and strong winds, the weather began to improve throughout the day enabling players to enjoy their rounds and post some good scores. Although a stern test of golf, the course was in superb condition, particularly the greens.

Men's Competition winners:
Bob Whitty of Hever Castle Golf Club won the Men's final with 37 points off a handicap of 17, after a count back on the back nine holes.

Second place went to John Daniels of Cray Valley Golf Club also with 37 points off a handicap of 11.
Third place went to Jason Chapman from Westgate & Birchington Golf Club with a score of 36 points off a handicap of 8. He also won the Nearest the Pin competition on the 14th Hole.

The Longest Drive went to Andrew Gooden of Aquarius Golf Club on the 7th Hole.

The KCPFA would like to thank all at Littlestone Golf Club for allowing us to stage the final at their club in particular Lord Peter Imbert, President, Vice Captain Ian Brooker, Ladies Captain Pauline Woolley and General Manager Stephen Blake. Special thanks to Head Green Keeper Malcolm Grand for presenting the course in excellent condition.
