Hinge Trophy 2018
Somewhat against the weather forecast, after an 0800 inspection of the course at Royal St Georges by its head greenkeeper, we were advised that the course was unlikely to open until 1100 at the earliest. As there were members and visitors booked to tee off before the Hinge finalists, we had no option other then to call off the event as we would not have been able to get the full field round in due time. Apologies to those players who made the journey but, by the time the host club delivered its view, players were in transit. Under the Rules of the Competition, the event will not be rescheduled.
