Knole Park hosted the 2018 Kent Youths' Championship. It was in great condition (assisted by some welcome rain yesterday) and advantage of a relatively calm morning was taken by some of the players in compiling good scores.
In the case of Conor Byers (Langley Park) (+1), notwithstanding a bogey at the first hole, it meant compiling a course record 63 off the Green Tees taking one shot off the previous best. This score gave Conor a major advantage going into the afternoon round and he made a clean sweep of the prizes taking both the scratch and handicap cups with his 137 gross and 139 net scores. The runner up in the scratch was George Young of West Malling, with a level par total, who beat Jamie Guppy (Littlestone) on count-back. George Young also took second place in the handicap competition with his net 140 and Luca Babadi took third place on count-back - his afternoon round net 66 being the best of the four players on 141 (net).
