Kent golf clubs raise over £10,000 for charity

We recently held our 54rd Annual Competition at Ashford Golf Club. Over £10,000 was raised for the Charity from over 80 of Kent's golf clubs. Nearly 3,000 competitors took part in the preliminary stages with some 109 finalists taking part on the day.
Several sponsors also contributed and included the following: Fiat Lipscombe, Express Auto Centre the Sandhole Veterinary Centre, John Knott Cars, Aero Auto Sport, GB Promotional Products, SO Hairdressing, Larking Chartered Accountants, the Poult Wood Golf Centre, K.C.Wong Acupuncture, Sapphire Water Softeners and the Utility Warehouse all sponsoring holes on the day.
The Men's winner was Mr Alan Cornell of Fawkham Valley Golf Club and the Women's winner Julia Martin –Harper of The Ridge Golf Club.
We were also able to provide the President of the Kent Schools Golf Association, Mr Richard Young with a cheque for £300 to assist young golfers.
