Knole Park was looking splendid for the start of the Youths Championship and several players took advantage of the benign conditions with Jerome Titlow (Knole Park) and Ryan Boyns (The Ridge) leading the field at lunchtime with 4 under par 66's, closely followed with 67's were Zak Morgan (Bearsted) and Dominic Driver (Knole Park). There was also a 68 from Callum Haughey (Pedham Place) and a 69 from Nick Buckland (Sundridge Park) and Dan Brown (Chart Hills).
The afternoon round saw 67's from Michael Saunders (Dartford) and Ross Maietta (Rochester & Cobham). Charlie Wilson (Littlestone), Daniel Byrne (Dartford) shot 68's closely followed by Darren Timms (MId Kent) and James Nelson (Cherry Lodge) with 69's. However Jerome Titlow's level par 70 when added to his morning round made him the Youth Champion for 2011 on 136, 4 under par for the day. Michael Saunders finished second on 138 with a better afternoon round from Charlie Wilson who finished third.
On the handicap side, Ryan Boyns (The Ridge) won the Handicap Cup on 132 (8 under par) from Dominic Driver (Knole Park) on 134 (minus 6) and third placed Marcus Sewell (Pedham Place) 135 (5 under) better afternoon round than Callum Haughey (Pedham Place).
