The Cecil Leitch final results

The 2012 final held at the splendid Mid Kent Golf Club turned out to be a cracking day.

The weather having been rather wet of late broke into sunshine with many of our finalists having to wear hats and sun tan lotion.

The Men's final was again a close affair with three players leading the charge.Neil Levitt, (pictured) triumphed with 38 points off a handicap of 15 to win the trophy.Neil from Lydd Golf Club was the first player from the club to lift the trophy.In second place was Dean Haynes (Etchinghill Golf Club) with 37 points off a handicap of 16.Third place went to B.Greatorex (Shortlands Golf Club) with 36 points off a handicap of 12.The Longest Drive went to Steve Haines of Broke Hill G.C. with Nearest the Pin going to Nick Clode of Sundridge Park G.C.

The Ladies final was won for the second successive year by Julia Martin-Harper of West Malling Golf Club. Julia ( pictured with Ladies Vice Captain Sue Barnes) off a handicap of 16 matched her previous winning score of 36 points.Second place with 34 points off a handicap of 21 was Pam Wilkinson from the Wildernesse Golf Club, with third place, on count back over the last six holes, going to Cheh Ngim Ratcliffe from Nizels Golf Club also with 34 points off a handicap of 16.Cheh also won the Longest Drive with Nearest the Pin going to Sandy Greenhill of Etchinghill G.C.
