CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 3 - 12 HANDICAPS

Championship Rules

1. Eligibility
All Competitors must be Male Members of a Club affiliated to the KENT GOLF UNION, and possess a certified playing handicap between 3 - 12 inclusive. Should a competitor’s handicap fall below 3 at the time of the competition he will be permitted to play but will not be eligible to win a prize. Should a competitor’s handicap rise above 12 handicap at the time of the competition he will be permitted to play but must play off 12 handicap. The Kent club must be the player’s HOME CLUB.

2. Entries will be limited to the number permitted by the Host Club and if necessary, longer handicaps will be subject to ballot.

3. The Competition
Play will be over 36 Holes of Stroke Play. The KGU General Competition Conditions shall apply. All ties will be decided by "count-back".
Caddies are allowed, other than a qualified P.G.A. professional golfer save that, if the competitor is under 18 on the day of the Championship he may only use a caddy who is under 18 years of age.

4. The Champion
Will be the player who returns the lowest gross score and he will hold the Scratch Cup for one year.

5. The Handicap Cup
Will be held for one year by the player returning the lowest nett score.

6. Prizes
There will be vouchers awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places - both Scratch and Handicap.
Scratch - A County Voucher for £150 will be awarded to the Champion, £75 for the runner up and £25 for 3rd.
Handicap - A County Voucher for £100 will be awarded to the Champion, £50 for the runner up and £25 for 3rd.
