U18 Boys' South Eastern Group County Qualifier

Our U18 boys squad of Jack Lee (Rochester & Cobham Park), Jake Antoun (Kings Hill), Josh Dugard (Chelsfield Lakes), Luke Jenkins (Rochester & Cobham Park), Jack Swift (North Foreland) and team captain Lucas Dennison (Rochester & Cobham Park) played in the SE Regional county 6 man competition at John O'Gaunt Golf Club.
It is always a long day with 36 holes of stroke play, five scores out of six to count from the morning and afternoon rounds. The morning was windy and whilst Surrey and Essex were ahead of us, it still felt like we had a chance. The boys worked hard in the pouring rain to post an improved afternoon score, but at the end of the day, we were beaten by an on form Essex team and an exceptional final Surrey score of +8. Surrey go on to play in the country finals in August.
Good luck to our U18 boys who are now moving on to new ventures in golf. They are dedicated and talented and are sure to do well.
