Invicta 10s & 12s Final report

Once again, North Foreland were our hosts for the final of the Invicta tour, and as well as their usual terrific hospitality, they also laid on some beautiful weather for us.
The Invicta 10s skills tests were as hotly contested as ever, and we had a tie in the putting between Ray Tolfrey and Henry Meade. The chipping test was won by Tilly Greatley and the driving by Jeremy Li. Taking the overall prize – showing great consistency over all three disciplines – was Arthur Cuffey. Well done all!
Out on the par-3 Northcliffe course, first place was taken by Jeremy Li with an excellent score of 30, with Oliver Deane-Bowers only 3 shots behind in second place. Rounding out the top three on 35 was Oscar Robertson. The nearest the pin was won by Logan Prett.
The Invicta 12s played some splendid golf over their 18 holes, which resulted in some very impressive scoring. Winning with a 63 was Baden Brown, just pipping Dexter Stavri by one. Taking third was Zac Ward with a 71. It was a good day for Dexter, who also won both nearest the pins!
So, with all rounds of this year’s tour completed, we now have our 2023 overall tour winners:

Thank you to our volunteers on the day – Kim, Jim, Tom, Cheryl, Richard and Marilyn – and to all those who have turned out during the course of the year to help make this such a successful and enjoyable event. It has been wonderful to see the improvement in our young golfers – they are all showing great promise – and we look forward to following their progress in the years to come.
