Two Kent boys among the finalists for the Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championship

Max Murray (Sundridge Park) and Lucas Dennison (Rochester & Cobham Park) are among the boys’ finalists for The Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championship hosted by Quinta do Lago (Portugal) on Wednesday 1 November. Enjoy the experience!

MAX MURRAY

Max shot a best low round of 63 at the Kent County Championships in order to qualify for his first Finals. A season highlight came with winning the South of England Schools and his club championship.

Age: 17

Handicap: +1.6

Golfing hero: “Min Woo Lee. I love the excitement he brings.”

Favourite club: “My lob wedge, for the amount of different shots you can hit.”

LUCAS DENNISON

Lucas celebrates his 18th birthday at this year’s finals. He first picked up a club aged two, qualifying for the Wee Wonders Final six years later. He’s the Kent U18s captain and this summer won the England Schools National Final.

Age: 17

Handicap: +1.5

Golfing hero: “Rory McIlroy – his passion for the game and how hard he works.”

Favourite club: “Putter. I think it’s the most important club in the bag.”
