Women and Girls Multi Squad Day report

An excellent Kent Women and Girls Multi Squad Day took place on Sunday 11th February at Pedham Place Golf Centre to kick off the 2024 season.
The Women’s 1st, 2nd, Seniors and Junior squads mixed up for the morning’s 9-hole Texas Scramble on the Academy Course with some great golf on display, producing lots of birdies. The winners were Jen Hunt, Pat Morecroft, Selina Bartarya, and Christina Carlotti with gross 18.7, narrowly beating Ali Ord, Ingrid Long, Truc Nguyen and Imogen Kennard into 2nd place with gross 18.8.
After lunch, there were some very informative, interesting, and motivational talks delivered by Danielle Thwaites and Angela Jones, and we had contributions from our Team Managers, Coaches, and Golf Manager.
We then presented our Junior Girls Performance and Participation awards (formerly ‘Junior Girls Order of Merit’) for the 2023 season, and finally we extended grateful thanks to Sasha Hellen from Dartford for her year of captaincy. Marilyn Brown, County President, opened and closed proceedings.
