The day (12 August) started grey with some drizzle in the air but this quickly cleared and the 3 foursomes games were hotly contested. The 1st match went Kent’s way with a solid performance from our girls. The 3rd match went Hants way so it was down to the middle match to decide the mornings play. It all came down to the last putt and resulted in a halved match.
The afternoon matches were also keenly contested and after 9 holes it was even with a lead in 3 matches each. Unfortunately Hants took one match on the 18th to take the afternoon session 4-2.
All the matches were played in a very good spirit and the team enjoyed the course and the hospitality provided by Waterlooville and the Hampshire team.
