Robin Young Trophy (Men) Rules

1. Eligibility Entry is limited to male members of clubs affiliated to KENT GOLF LIMITED (and which are up to date with affiliation fee payments) who are in possession of a WHS Handicap Index of 8.7 or under and aged 53 years or over on the closing date for the pre-qualifying event at Littlestone on 24 February 2025. The Kent club must be the player's HOME CLUB. Where a player or players withdraw, the Committee reserves the right to invite the next best qualifier to make up an even numbered field. Entries will be limited in number to the top 30 qualifiers from the pre-qualifying event at Littlestone.

2. The Competition The Kent Golf General Competition Conditions shall apply. The competition will consist of stroke play over 18 holes under the rules of the R & A. Disputes must be referred to the Committee immediately after the completion of the round. Its decision shall be final. Gross and handicap prizes will be awarded to the competitors in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. No competitor may win both gross and handicap prizes. Ties will be resolved by count-back. The competitor with the best gross score will be awarded The Robin Young Trophy. Prizes will be presented following the post golf meal. If cancelled due to bad weather, the competition will not be rearranged.

3. Practice Rounds Competitors should make their own arrangements with the Secretary of the host club. A practice round may be a courtesy offered by the Club but competitors should be prepared to pay a green fee if required.

4. Caddies Players are not allowed caddies.

5. Order of Play Players will play in reverse score order from the pre-qualifier at Littlestone.
