We are looking for volunteers to assist at Kent Golf events and junior academies throughout the County.
Why would I volunteer, you ask? Read the testimonials below:
1) "Why do I volunteer? because it's fun!
It's great helping out with youngsters, seeing them getting into golf. And it is good fun meeting new people, seeing new places... a day out from my normal routine!
And bottom line, it's a really great team to work with!"
2) "I've been a volunteer with Kent Golf for two years, which is a role that I find rewarding. It gives me an opportunity to put something back into the game of golf. It enables me to help support and develop the new generation of golfers, work with Kent golfers of all ages and skills, and see the talent we have in the County. It is also helping me develop my Rules knowledge with a view to becoming a Rules Official. If you like to get out in the fresh air a few times a year, visit golf courses across Kent, meet many golfers, and work with a team of friendly volunteers, then I'd recommend it."
SOME OF THE BENEFITS INCLUDE:
VOLUNTEERING AT JUNIOR ACADEMIES
Assisting the coaches at Kent Golf Junior Academies, taking the attendance register, answering questions parents might have about Kent Golf, promoting our academy sessions and junior events on Social Media, advice on buying the right equipment for their child especially a beginner, making sure they are enjoying themselves in a safe environment and if they might have any questions for us. Find out more about our Junior Academies.
VOLUNTEERING AT KENT GOLF EVENTS
There is not a requirement to have golf rules knowledge, just a willingness to help out on the day to ensure that all players have the best experience of entering a Kent Golf Competition. If you would like to act in a voluntary capacity as a referee for Kent Golf, you are required to have passed your Level 2 Rules exam with a pass mark of 80% or above.
