Since 1st March 2018, Kent Golf Union has issued County Cards to all male members of affiliated Kent Golf Clubs at no charge, thereby offering the benefits of the card to all members. A County Card can only be issued to those members who hold a CONGU handicap.
The current County Card expires at the end of February 2020 and after this date, the current version of the card will no longer be available.
The County Card App is called igcounty (all one word no gaps and should not be confused with igmember).
From February 2020, the County Card will be available to download at no cost from the App Store (for all iphones) link below
or at no cost from the Google Play Store (for Android phones e.g. Samsung, Huawei, HTC, Motorola) link below
All that is required to download the App to your phone is your CDH number. If you are unaware of your CDH number, this can be obtained from your Club Secretary/Manager or Handicap Secretary.
Below is an easy to follow guide which explains step-by-step how to download the County Card App to your phone.
IG County App
The introduction of the County Card App reduces administration and ensures that those who require a County Card can obtain one in minutes and without the need to contact the County Office. By downloading the App, members also have access to County News, can view and enter County competitions and lots more. This new version of the County Card does not have an expiration date, so there is no need to download a Card each year.
The Kent Golf Union County Card is only valid for the duration of membership to a Kent Affiliated Golf Club.
If you do not have an iphone or Android phone, you must contact the County Office by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain your County Card. At the point of application, you must supply your full name, Kent Golf Club, CDH number, email address, phone number and home address.
Please note, the manual version of the County Card will take approximately 10 – 14 business days to process.
Life Members should continue to use their existing lifetime County Cards as issued in 2018 that were sent to their home address.
Life Members will continue to receive a £10 discount each time they play in one of the Members’ meetings – these being the Spring Trophy, Summer Stableford, President’s Prize and Christmas Jamboree. Please see the website for the dates of these events and entry forms.
Please note that any standing order payments of £10 due on the 1st January 2018 (and 1st January of each year thereafter) have been returned to your bank account as this payment is no longer required in order to receive a card. Please check your bank statement and we ask that you cancel any standing order set up to make any such payments to the Kent Golf Union.
