Captains Cup 2026 - Sign Up Rules
- Format - Captains Cup - knockout handicap match play tournament with two mixed foursomes pairs from the same club per team. Competitors do not have to be current or past captains of the club they represent.
- Handicaps - Pair A to comprise a man with a Handicap Index plus to 14.4 and a woman with a Handicap Index plus to 20.4. Pair B to comprise a man with a Handicap Index 14.5 to 28.4 and a woman with a Handicap Index 20.5 to 36.4. Players MUST have a handicap in the correct band on the day of the match, without exception.
- Handicap Allowance - Shots should be calculated using the latest version of England Golf's Mixed Tee Calculator entering the details of the tee set(s) being played on the day. Men will play from the competition tees of the day, women from the women's competitions tees of the day. Shots should be taken from the forward tee set stroke indices
- Players - Players may change from one round to the next but a player can only represent one Club in any one year.
- Matches - Each individual foursomes match to play the full 18 holes. The aggregate score of holes won or lost after the completion of the 18 holes by both pairs will determine the winning club. In the event of a tie, pair A will play sudden death.
- Caddies - are not allowed in this competition until the final. Refer to Kent Golf General Competition Conditions for further information.
- Contact - Home teams to make contact and offer at least 4 dates, spread over a minimum of 2 weeks, which must include weekday and weekend dates. Bank Holiday Mondays are classed as weekdays. Should the Home team not contact the Away team within 14 days of the relevant draw date, the Away team may choose the venue, but must at the time of contact, offer 4 dates, spread over a minimum of 2 weeks, which must include both weekday and weekend dates.
- Green Fees - It is hoped that the home teams club will allow the visiting team courtesy of the course for the purposes of the match. If courtesy if not allowed, both teams will be expected to bear the cost of the green fee for the match in equal shares. The visiting team has no right to a practice round unless that facility is granted by the home teams club. The visiting team shall be solely responsible for any practice round green fee.
