Race to St George's - South Kent Qualifier Rules

QUALIFYING EVENTS Each Qualifying event shall be: (a) 18 hole Stroke Play for Junior members of Kent Golf clubs and shall be played as one single competition; for the Junior Championship, the first round will count. (b) Final places in each event shall be decided on countback as appropriate; (c) Each event shall be played in accordance with the Kent Golf General Competition Conditions. (d) Players will earn points towards a Scratch Order of Merit. Points will be awarded as follows: 24 points for 1st, 20 points for 2nd and 18 points for 3rd, 17 points for 4th going down to 1 point for 20th place. Points will be awarded on a countback basis where scores are equal. Handicap adjustments based on gender and tees will be in accordance with Rules of Handicapping and WHS Mixed Tee Calculator applicable in England and Wales. Eligibility Competitors must be under 18 years of age on 1st January of the year of the competition and must be a member of a Club affiliated (and up to date with the payment of affiliation fees) to Kent Golf Limited and in possession of a current WHS Handicap Index. The Kent club must be the player’s HOME CLUB. Entries will be limited to the number permitted by the Host Club. Caddies Caddies are allowed but must be under 18 on 1st January of the year of the event entered. THE FINAL A total of 20 players will qualify for the final. Qualifying points total will be carried forward to the final at Royal St George’s on Thursday 31st October 2024 and the draw will be made with the leaders teeing off last. Vouchers will be awarded at the Final for both gross and nett.
