THE WEST KENT FUTURES’ GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

Championship Rules




1. Eligibility

Senior Futures must be under 13 years of age on 1st January 2017 and be in possession of a CONGU or CONGU Club handicap.
Junior Futures must be under 10 years of age on 1st January 2017 and, if they do not hold a CONGU or CONGU Club handicap, will be allocated a handicap on the day

Entrants must be members of a club affiliated to the KENT GOLF UNION or Kent County Ladies Golf Association.

Entries will be limited to the number permitted by the host Club and, if necessary, may be restricted by ballot.

2. Caddies
Senior Futures will not be allowed caddies or trolley pullers.
Junior Futures will be allowed one caddie only.

3. The Competition
The KGU General Competition Conditions shall apply. The Competition will be Medal Play over 18 holes for both Senior and Junior Futures, off tees decided by the Championship Committee.

4. Championship Results
The Senior and Junior Futures’ Champions will be the players who return the lowest gross score. If there is a tie the Championships will be decided by a “sudden death” play off.

5. Age Group Prizes
Prizes will be awarded in each age group based on gross and nett scores. Prizes for nett scores will only be awarded to players who have provided proof of a CONGU handicap. If there is a tie the winner will be decided by count-back. No competitor may win more than one prize.
