Covid-19 Guidance Page

Kent Golf COVID Guidance as at 24 February 2022

From 24 February, you are not legally required to self-isolate if you test positive for COVID-19. Government advice is, however, to stay at home if you can and avoid contact with other people.

Similarly, you will not have to take daily tests or be legally required to self-isolate following contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

There are no restrictions on how many people can take part in sport and physical activity, or on the activities they can do.  However, there are some steps you should take to reduce the risk of transmission when you are participating.

Protecting Yourself and Others

There are still cases of COVID-19 in England and there is a risk you could catch or pass on the virus, even once you are fully vaccinated. This means it is important that you understand and consider the risks of catching or spreading COVID-19 in all situations.

While no situation is risk free, there are easy and effective actions you can take to protect yourself and others around you.

You should continue to follow good hygiene practices, to reduce the risk of transmission.

Kent Golf’s COVID Policy

Before attending a Kent Golf event (to play, participate in training or team discussion), all participants, officials, volunteers and spectators should self-assess for symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). These are:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste

If you have one or more of these symptoms, we ask that you do not attend any Kent Golf event, even if your symptoms are mild.

You should avoid sharing water bottles or other refreshment containers. Where possible, you should take your own drink, in a labelled or highly distinguishable container.

You should follow advice from the venue operator on wearing a face covering in areas that are not for exercising, such as reception areas, professional’s shops, dining, bar or lounge areas.

You should avoid sharing equipment where possible; if equipment needs to be shared, it should be cleaned between users, where possible.

You should not attend any Kent Golf event if you are displaying symptoms, are awaiting the results of a PCR test or required to self isolate under any rules in operation or have tested positive on a lateral flow test within five days of the relevant event.
