The team arrived for a practice round the day before the match to torrential rain, so it was decided to walk the course rather than play and get everything soaked before the 36 hole match. On the day of the match, the rain persisted but was showery and the team played well to secure a 2-1 lead after the foursomes. The afternoon weather gradually improved and the rain cleared after a few holes. The singles were hotly contested and most of the matches were very close. A draw in the singles was enough to give Kent a 5-4 win in our first match of the season.
Thanks go to all our players, Middlesex for hosting a very friendly but very competitive match and especially to Rose the Middx Captain in her last match as 2nd Team Manager.
