The last match of the season took place on a very hot, bright day at Sene Valley. All the foursomes were very close, and the honours were even at lunch. With the heat building, most of the afternoon singles went out on buggies which proved to be a sensible decision.

Again, the matches were very close on the front nine but Sussex gained the upper hand on the back nine and they took the match 7-2. We lost one player to a nasty insect bite so co-manager had to step in – thanks Gill and unfortunately the heat got to another, resulting in a hospital visit as a precaution. Glad to report that all is well today.

A massive thank you to all at Sene Valley for looking after us – especially Jo for caring for our ill player so wonderfully.

Thanks to everyone who played in our squad this year – we are really beginning to build some great team spirit and look forward to next year’s campaign.
