We were very well received by Liphook GC on the Saturday afternoon for our practice round. First impressions that this was a special golf course and it was. The officials at the club welcomed us and so too did the members.

On the Sunday morning we were hopeful of continuing on the back of a good win, against Sussex at the beginning of May. However that wasn't to be. At lunch we were 3-1 down with only Tony Adams & Jacob Kelso claiming a well deserved point. This match finished on the 18th but not without drama when Tony Adams played a completely blind shot, which finished about a foot from the hole. It could so easily gone Hampshire's way.

At lunch we knew what we had to do, but unfortunately it didn't go Kent's way as Hampshire piled on the pressure and were well deserving of the 8-4 win. Jacob Kelso had a good day with wins in the morning and afternoon. Conor Byers played well in the afternoon for his win and Danny Jones clawed back from 3 down after 4 holes to claim a win on the last.

The next 1st Team match is in August at R&G GC when we play Surrey. That will probably be a must win situation if we are to progress the the League Finals.
