Kent and Sussex had a senior women’s friendly match at Nevill GC on Wednesday 13th September. The day started off overcast with a northerly wind that gradually died out as the day improved and ended up in sunshine. The matches were all tightly contested and played in a good spirit, with the overall result remaining in doubt until the final group had finished the 18th with a 1up win that secured an overall victory for Kent. This was a good away result as the home players did benefit from a bit more local course knowledge, which was certainly needed off some of the tees.
Our thanks go to Nevill GC for presenting the course to a good standard and providing very welcome refreshments after the match.
Players in the photo (L to R) are : Ali McGuirk (Princes), Alison Chapman (Princes), Amanda Jones-Reid (Bearsted), Jackie Hawes (North Foreland), Angela Jones (Canterbury), Karen Taylor (Redlibbets), Caroline Collins (Canterbury), Debbie Cox (Faversham)
