Kent Men's Seniors win the Southern Counties Seniors Foursomes qualifier

The Men's Senior team won their Southern Counties Seniors Foursomes qualifying at Thorndon Park, Essex in an exciting 36 hole competition.
The morning round of matches saw the team perform superbly winning 4.5 points out of a possible 5 against teams from Essex, Middlesex, and Hertfordshire. The afternoon was much tighter, with Kent only winning 2 of the 5 matches, but it was enough to win the event.
Two of our pairs, Danny Holmes (London Club)/ Darren Ottaway (Wrotham Heath) and Bob Florence/ Phil Judge (both Rochester & Cobham) won both of their matches. Congratulations to them, and also the pairs of Richard Partridge (Wildernesse)/ Phil Bramall (Chart Hills), Martin Farbrace (Sene Valley)/ Andy Francis (Bearsted) and Danny Curtis/ Alan Austin (both Knole Park).
The final will be held at Ely City GC on 19 September.
