Chris is a retired chartered accountant, who started golf at the tender age of 5. He has been a member of Littlestone Golf Club for 34 years, previously at Ashford and West Kent. He played 291 games for Kent in the Colts, First Team and Seniors between 1969 and 2017. He played for the England Seniors’ team from 2006 to 2013.

Chris served on the County Committee from 1982 to 2011, was County Captain from 1983 to 1986 and was a County Vice President from 1996 until he became a Kent President in 2023. He has served on the committees at all 3 of his clubs and has been Captain at both Ashford and Littlestone.

County Captain - Tony Adams (Prince's)

"I have been playing golf ever since watching The Open at Royal Birkdale in 1991. I moved down to Kent and joined Prince's GC in 2006, where I have played ever since.

I am passionate about competitive golf, and have been playing in the 1st Team Squad for the last couple of years, and Order of Merit events for many years before that; I am still playing competitively and hope to continue to do so over the coming years.

I am keen to assist in developing young talent in the County, and see continued success for the 1st Team in the coming years."

Joint Director of Clubs & Communications - Jude Mackenzie (Sundridge Park)

Jude has been a golfer since her teens, a member of five golf clubs and Lady Captain at two. She has also held numerous committee and team positions in clubs in Surrey and Kent, now at Sundridge Park. She particularly enjoys playing mixed competitions around the country with her husband, Alistair.

Her professional career has been in journalism and communications in the public and charity sectors including roles as board director in local, national and international organisations. She also spent 10 years in consultancy and is now mostly retired. She stays busy with voluntary roles in her local church and in various charities.

Alan Austin was once again appointed Chair of Kent Golf as well as continuing in his role as Director of Championships.

All at Kent Golf wish the newly appointed Directors all the very best in their new roles.
