Another glorious October day welcomed our juniors to Shooters Hill for this year's Joan Piper Mixed Greensomes stableford. It was the first time some of our young golfers had played this format and it made a welcome change from the usual stresses of medal play!
Winning by four, with 39 points, was the Canterbury pair of Claudia Carlotti and Amos Brazier. Taking the runners-up spot with 35 points, on countback, was Tyra Skinner (Sene Valley) and Martin Taylor (Redlibbets), and completing the top three was the pairing of Tom Feeney (Pedham Place) and Sasha Hellen (Dartford).
Our thanks go to the club for hosting us and to Cheryl Power and Jane Marr for refereeing. And a special thank you to Shooters Hill member, Roger, who stepped in last-minute as a marker; a kind gesture, much appreciated.
