Men's 1st Team friendly match v Essex

On Sunday, the Men's 1st Team played our season opening friendly against Essex at Dartford GC.
After a tough winter and overnight rain, Dartford was presented in fantastic condition; ready for a very competitive day’s play.
Essex fielded an extremely strong side, boasting several England Internationals. After the morning Foursomes, with plenty of tension and drama on the driveable 18th, the score was tied at 2.5 - 2.5.
All to play for in the afternoon.
Again, the matches were very tight. Unfortunately, we were narrowly beaten in the afternoon. The final score was 7 - 8.
Congratulations to Essex, we look forward to the return fixture next year. Many thanks to everyone involved at Dartford GC, both sides commented upon the quality of the course.
