Junior Summer Meeting report

Our final major junior event of the summer holidays took place at a bright and breezy Sittingbourne & Milton Regis Golf Club, where 37 youngsters took to the scenic course in pursuit of some late-season silverware.
Good scores were hard to come by in the medal competition (maybe they’re all over-golfed and can’t wait to get back to school!) and best scratch of the day went to Jake Sprosen (Wrotham Heath) with a 77. Runner-up was Oliver Kelham (Rochester & Cobham Park) with Langley Park’s Bella Watson taking third spot.
Selina Bartarya (Chelsfield Lakes) took nett honours with a 68, closely followed by home player, Charlie Knowles, and Gillingham’s Sharna Lowther. In the stableford competition, Oliver Scott (Redlibbets) emerged victorious, just ahead of Luke Discipline (Mid Kent).
We thank Sittingbourne for their warm hospitality and our trusty team of referees and volunteers for their assistance.
