Thank you to Tim Milford for sending his #KentGolfCelebrations story to us. We are delighted to have Tim as our Lead Professional.
"Here are my personal memories for the celebrations of Kent Golf this year.
This is pretty much where my golf career began, playing for the Kent Men’s first team in the early 1990s, eventually winning the South East League in 1995.
My picture shows my win at the 1995 Kent Amateur Championships Bearsted Golf Club. I had lost 2 previous finals and knew I was turning professional later that year, so my last chance. Finally winning with my dad caddying, it was a great moment. I don’t think we have changed much over the last 30 years
From there, I completed my PGA training, moving on to play Challenge Tour from 2002-2008 with a couple of 2nd place finishes and multiple top 10s, but ultimately never fully made it to what was then the European Tour full time. I gave it my best shot, though.
I started teaching Pedham Place Golf Centre in 2009, taking over the Centre Manager role in 2014.
My Kent Golf connections continued with coaching the majority of the Kent Golf teams until my appointment as Lead Coach in 2019, which I continue to do now with great pride.
Kent Golf has given me many opportunities over many years, and I wish them well in their centenary year and for many years to come."
