Men's Order of Merit Mid-Season Update

Date published: 13 Jun 2025

After taking an early lead in the 2025 Kent Golf Men’s Order of Merit, Greg Diddams (Upchurch River Valley) has been overtaken by Charlie Hickling (Wildernesse), the defending champion. A win for Charlie at the Bearsted Open, backed up by solid performances in the Prince of Wales, the Brice Bowl, and the Darwin Plate, has seen him move to the top of the pile on 85 points, just five ahead of Greg. Nick Panting (Rochester & Cobham Park) is lurking in third place on 70 points after winning the Prince of Wales and finishing strongly in both the Brice and the Darwin. After becoming our 2025 County Champion recently at Chart Hills, Lucas Dennison (Rochester & Cobham Park) has catapulted himself up to fourth place with Chestfield’s Dan Cooke just behind in fifth after winning both this year’s curtain-raiser, The Hinge Trophy, and the strokeplay element of the Men’s Amateur.

The competition is hotting up nicely as we approach the second half of the season with the next Order of Merit event being Sene Valley’s Channel Cup on the 22nd June. This is followed by the Pilgrims Plate at Canterbury on the 6th July and then the Waterford Trophy at Sundridge Park on the 22nd July, and we look forward to seeing how things shape up.
