Kent’s men’s team have secured victory at the 2025 South East Group Qualifier for the England Golf National County Finals, hosted this year at Millbrook Golf Club in Bedfordshire.
The team delivered a brilliant all-round performance to finish ahead of a strong field, including BB&O and Surrey, and will now go on to represent the South at the National Finals at St Enodoc Golf Club in Cornwall this September.
Led by County Captain Tony Adams and guided by Coach Benn Barham, the squad arrived focused and well-prepared. Benn’s meticulous planning and calm support throughout the week were instrumental in getting the best out of the players and hugely appreciated by the team.
Each player had a clear, personal game plan going into the day, shaped by two structured practice rounds. When the wind picked up on Sunday, flexibility and resilience were key… and the team delivered.
There were several outstanding individual performances:
County Captain Tony Adams said:
“I couldn’t be prouder of this group of players. They backed each other, played smart, and handled the pressure with real class. Special thanks to Benn Barham for the incredible preparation work behind the scenes — his experience and guidance made a real difference. We’re proud to represent the South and can’t wait for the National Finals in September.”
A huge well done to the team, and we now look forward to Nationals at St Enodoc.
