What could be finer on a beautiful summer’s day than strolling around Knole Park? Granted, it’s slightly more stressful with a club in one’s hand, but negotiating the sprawling 18-hole layout is always an enjoyable challenge.
And rising to that challenge splendidly was our current County Champion, Lucas Dennison (Rochester & Cobham Park), who had matching morning and afternoon 68s to take the title by one shot from Pedham Place’s Sam Pantlin (66, 71). Coming in third, with an adjusted gross of 138, was Ellena Slater (Kings Hill).
Taking the Handicap trophy was Edward Greenslade (Wildernesse) on nett 135, on countback from home player, Luke Wardell. Rounding out the prize-winners was another Knole Park member, William Henderson, who catapulted himself up the leaderboard courtesy of an impressive afternoon round of nett 63.
Congratulations to all who completed the 36 holes – an achievement in itself – and a big Kent Golf thank you to the team of referees and volunteers who turned out in force and gave so willingly of their time.
Finally, we thank Knole Park Golf Club for their continuing support of this competition, and we look forward to returning in 2026.
