Invicta 10s & 12s report

Date published: 21 Aug 2025

We may be nearing the end of the summer holidays, but our young Invictas were still full of enthusiasm for golf when they met at Upchurch River Valley for the fourth leg of this year’s tour.

Showing the way in the U12s category was Alfie Loveday (Hever Castle), who took first prize with a score of 82 for his 18 holes. Runner-up was Logan Prett (Littlestone) on 94, just ahead of Pedham Place’s Hayden Hoyle on 95. Bad luck to Cameron Callaghan for just missing out on countback.

In the U10s event, Oscar Robertson (Kings Hill) made it three-in-a-row by winning the 9-holes with 41. Samuel Willis was just behind with 44, and Shane Cooper (Sheerness) took third place on 46 on countback from Denny Connor.

In the skills tests, we had a four-way tie in the driving between Denny, Alfie Harper, Max Perry, and Isabella Tricker – well done all!

Our best putter was Oscar Robertson, and our bunker wizard was Henry Meade (Upchurch).

The overall skills winner was home player Samuel Willis.

Our thanks go to Greg and his wonderful team at Upchurch for looking after us so well and for supporting our junior programme.

Thank you, also, to our Kent Golf volunteers, Linda, Cathy, and Helen, for giving up their time to help out.

We look forward to the season-ending Invictas Jamboree at North Foreland on Sunday 21st September.
