Lorraine – better known as "Loo" in golfing circles – first discovered her love for golf at the age of seven, when she began lessons and joined Sidcup Golf Club, following in the footsteps of her father. As a young golfer, she became part of the Kent Girls set up and has happy memories of those times, including representing the county at Junior County Weeks and being part of the winning team back in the 90s, along with other notable county golfers Anna Smith and Ali McGuirk.
Although golf occasionally took a back seat during her university years and while balancing career and family life with 10 year old twins, Loo remains deeply connected to the game. She is currently a member of Mid Kent Golf Club, playing off a handicap of 4.4, and proudly serves as the club’s Women’s Charter Champion.
Professionally, Loo brings over two decades of experience in health education, community engagement, and sports development. Her work at both local and national levels has focused on helping people access and enjoy sport, with a particular emphasis on inclusion and participation.
Driven by both personal passion and professional insight, Loo is committed to empowering women and girls to thrive in golf. She’s thrilled to be joining the team at Kent Golf and looks forward to building on the strong foundations already in place.
Welcome to the team, Loo!
