Day 1 result: Lancashire 5½ - 3½ Kent
A tough start to the National Finals, but incredibly proud of our team’s fight and determination throughout the day!
The morning foursomes session went 2-1 to Lancashire, giving them an early advantage. The afternoon singles were extremely tight, with several matches going right to the wire - some fantastic golf on display from both sides.
While naturally disappointed with the result, the standard of play was exceptional, and our players showed tremendous character, giving everything they had against a very strong Lancashire side.
The team spirit remains high, and there were many positives to take from what proved to be an excellent day of competitive golf.
Congratulations to Lancashire on a fantastic performance!
Today, we face Leicestershire & Rutland in the same format - time to get some light blue back on the board!
