Local Golf Initiative at The Marsh Academy

"Lydd Links Golf Club and Driving Range has spent the past few years working closely with its neighbouring secondary school.
Offering after school clubs on its Top Tracer floodlit driving range with coaching sessions to all abilities.
This has become a popular activity now at The Marsh Academy, so much so, that next year we are piloting a golf academy to run alongside Sixth form studies.
Students can gain golf coaching free of charge, whilst working their Sixth form timetable. Competing, learning and accessing all areas of golf.
We believe we are one of the first schools in the country to offer a pathway into golf development like this.
Both sites are very excited about this initiative and are looking forward to working closely together and growing golf in the area.
The Marsh Academy has been offering something similar with football & rugby for many years, to great success.
We would like to thank the Kent Golf's Golf Development Committee in assisting and advising to allow us to get to this point.
