Kent Golf Open Afternoon/Evening Rules Event report

Despite the torrential rain last Thursday afternoon, we still had a good turnout for our Kent Golf drop-in session at Pedham Place Golf Centre. With experts on hand from England Golf and the county, we were able to provide guidance and advice on topics such as handicapping, terms of competition, rules, course rating, course set-up and the like.
Our thanks go to Allison Boozer (England Golf, Club and County Support Officer), Stuart Mitchell (England Golf, Regional Handicapping and Course Rating Manager (South)), Christine Handson (England Golf, Regional Handicap Advisor), Mark Ward (Lead Course Rater for Kent), and Ken Hannah (Level 3 Rules Official, Championship and Competitions Committee Member) for giving up their time to answer a variety of queries from Kent club managers, secretaries and members. We greatly appreciate their enthusiasm for sharing their knowledge and expertise, and all who attended found it a very valuable exercise.
Thank you also to Pedham Place for hosting this event and for looking after us so well.
