Ben Quinney wins the PGA Kent Closed 2019 Championship

 


Ben Quinney wins the PGA Kent Closed 2019 Championship at Kings Hill Golf Club on Monday 8th April. Ben, an amateur from Bearsted Golf Club and a Kent Colt, shot a flawless 65 (-7) with seven birdies and 11 pars. Ben round was 4 better than any other player in the field including the numerous PGA Professional's. His winning speech thanked Kings Hill for getting the course in great condition, his playing partners on the day, the Kent PGA and of course the catering staff.

The best scores from the Professionals were 69's (-3) from Jordan Godwin and Ryan Boyns, both of whom were Kent Golf players prior to turning professional.

From the Amateur ranks, the best scores behind Ben were Jack Holland 70 (Littlestone Golf Club),  Ryan Godwin 71 (Rochester & Cobham Park Golf Club), Ollie Lewis-Perkins 71 (Mid Kent Golf Club) & Jensen Hull 71 (Hever Castle Golf Club).

It was a great day hosted Kings Hill Golf Club, extremely well run by the Kent PGA and with very kind weather conditions.
