J D (David) Lewis
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of J D (David) Lewis. David was a member of Ashford GC for many years and captain there in 1971. He was in the Kent County first team for many years and was County Captain from 1973 to 77. His long involvement with Kent is evidenced by the fact that He won the County Junior Championship in 1951 and the Seniors Scratch Championship in 1987. David was County Secretary from 1977 to 81. After serving the County, he served terms as Secretary at Princes and Littlestone, where he accorded honorary member after retiring as Secretary.
Our thoughts are with David’s family and friends.
