Kent Golf Junior Organisers Workshop
Our 2021 Kent Golf Junior Organisers Workshop took place via Zoom on the evening of 23rd March. This event was hosted by Cheryl Power, Director Golf Development, and was attended by Junior Organisers from 38 different golf clubs in Kent.
There were speakers covering all the many aspects of junior golf in Kent, ranging from competitions and coaching to all the different support and advice available. Representing England Golf were, Victoria Crosbie-Cowley and Allison Boozer and from the Golf Foundation, Mike Hollis. Also presenting were Junior Organiser at Faversham Golf Club, Barry Sears, Kent Golf’s Lead Coach, Tim Milford, Junior Development Officer, Kim Brusadelli, Golf Manager, Lee Jones, and Kent Golf Approved Junior Academy Coach, Gary Bason. We also had presentations from two young Kent junior golfers, Skye Fontanelli (11), from Faversham GC, and Lucas Dennison (15) from Rochester and Cobham GC, who gave us a resume of their lives as junior golfers in Kent so far, and they stole the show!
