Once again Danny led the team out playing very impressive golf throughout, winning 4&3. Sussex then won the next 4 games.
Bob losing 2&1, his game flowed either way until the Sussex player holed a couple of good putts to win. Mark started off by giving away 3 out of the first 6 holes, he battled back but lost 3&2.
Phil B, a stalwart of the Kent Seniors, played pretty well but his Sussex opponent was just too good losing 5&4. Phil J was behind in his match for much of the game and lost a tight match 2&1.
John, winning 2&1, pulled a point back to make it 4-2, making the game in the balance. Plus Andrew then came in with a great win 5&4 to make the match 4-3. Game on.
Richard, new player to the team, was on the course when Andrew’s result came and unfortunately lost 5&3. Score now 5-3.
Martin was in a real tussle and at one stage became 2up but the Sussex player came fighting back and the match finished with a half, score 51/2 to 31/2. Last match on the course saw Darren, another new player to the team, play really well and on the last green the Sussex player holed a really good 6 foot putt to win 1up.
Final score Kent 31/2 to Sussex 61/2. Great effort by all the guys but we just came up short to a really good Sussex side.
